Our Story

Cher Parker founded ONELOVE Foundation out of a mother's deep love and a heartfelt commitment to making a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges and homelessness. Her journey began with her son, diagnosed with bipolar schizophrenia at 17. Over the years, he faced numerous battles, and at 31, he experienced a particularly severe episode that left him lost and alone on the streets of downtown San Diego, unable to remember even his own identity.

In her desperate quest to find him, Cher embarked on a relentless search, putting up posters throughout the city and visiting homeless areas month after month. During this search, she encountered countless homeless veterans, individuals, and families, each with their own poignant stories of resilience and hardship. These interactions opened her eyes to the broader struggles faced by many who had fallen through the cracks of society.

Moved by the stories she heard and the people she met, Cher's mission expanded beyond her personal journey. What began as a mother's search for her son evolved into a calling to offer hope and support to others experiencing similar hardships. Driven by compassion and a fierce determination, Cher and her family began providing food, clothing, blankets, and essential supplies to those in need.
